Social Studies Focus
Miss Hernandez will now be teaching the Social Studies section during rotation. We will start our rotation schedule
again on Wednesday, April 19th. They will be focusing on the Gold Rush, and California's beginning years as a state.

Science Focus
We are beginning our studies in the Life Science area! Mr. Omeje will be teaching the lab, which is his
area of expertise. Mr. Omeje recently recieved both the State and National Agricultural Excellence in Education
Award. I will be teaching the Science Based Literacy portion of the rotation. I am going to be focusing on vocabulary
development and writing skills with the students, as well as building reading comprehension with strategies we have been utilizing
throughout this year.
